Jean Murin: Once An Intern, Now A Pro

As we gear up to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we’re bringing it full circle by reaching out to the Mills Public Relations universe to catch up with former colleagues and clients (yes, this is a flat-out “Where Are They Now” column!)
Jean Murin was the first Mills intern to be hired by the Agency (as an Account Coordinator.) A Pennsylvania native and then Boston University student who sang soprano with the school’s Treblemakers a capella group, Jean’s successful stint at Mills was marked by her work on consumer accounts.
Jean, who also had experience in events (Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay) and politics (intern at Pennsylvania house of Representatives), worked on The Fours, Red Sky, Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts and Alan Rouleau accounts. A bright personality helped Jean tactfully navigate the gulf between being a Philadelphia ‘phanatic’ and fellow employees with lifelong allegiances to Red Sox Nation. Jean also is remembered for successfully coordinating Mills’ famous “Summer Breeze” event at our former Charlestown headquarters.
Jean left Mills at the end of 2009 when she moved to Georgia for a position at a wedding event organization. From there, she joined the Atlanta office of a leading family-focused advertising agency based in California that represents household brands such as Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Leap Frog, Chuck E. Cheese, Leap Frog, and Disney. We’re pleased to note that Jean is still obsessed with puppies, the Phillies and cooking.
